Boxing in the GTA

United Promotions Boxing put on another show at the Hershey Centre Saturday night. I got to see lots of friends there including two of them facing off in the ring and fighting to a draw. It was a good night of fights which saw Ryan Young capture the Canadian Super Welterweight Championship. Photographing ringside is really great and is the best "seat" in the house. I tried a couple of different lenses and settings on Saturday and really enjoyed the results.

Professional Boxer Winston Matthews came down to the studio last night for some promo work before his next fight Saturday night against another friend Steve Rainford. Jus Win looked to be in great shape and was super relaxed. I'm looking forward to shooting the fights Saturday night in Mississauga on the United Promotions Card.

I had an opportunity to shoot for Ring Royalty Fight Supply. Ring Royalty recently sponsored a fighter out of Black Eye Boxing in Brantford, Winston, aka, Jus Win and wanted to get some shot of him in gear. Ring Royalty is a great support of fighters everywhere. Winston is the hardest working guy in the gym, no quit, no complaints and no mercy in the ring. Winston was great to shoot with and I look forward to shooting with him again.
