Boxing Training Session with Kara - Old School
The first time I photographed anything to do with boxing was 3 years ago when Kara invited me to shoot her training session. The photo session took place at Boomerz Boxing Club a beautiful old school boxing gym located in downtown London. With the exposed brick, wood floors and old time posters I knew this had to be photographed in black and white. Kara's striking coach is Gord Riddell who's worked with some of the top fighters in London. (and yes his fist is legitimately the size of her face)
It was really great to look back on this shoot that started me off in boxing and allowed me to meet some many great people, like Lawrence Boom. I have to get back out to Boomerz to photograph another training session soon.
